7CJPHC Newsletter February 13th, 2001

Next Meeting: March 13, 2001 at Mountain Mikes Pizza in Morgan Hill. The meeting will start promptly at 6:15pm, be there early so we can start on time!

Februarys meeting minutes: 

Charlotte Fenn called the meeting to order at 6pm. The minutes from the January meeting were approved. Old Business: voted and approved the club name to be Seven Counties Junior Paint Horse Club. Reminded the info. sheets need to be turned in ASAP! We voted to have the newsletter arrive about three to five days before the meeting. Next, we discussed the bylaws, two different examples were handed out, the adult club’s and the junior Bakersfield club’s. It was approved to have everyone look at them and vote on the changes at the next meeting. Dana recommended we adopt one of them and vote on the changes. 

New Business: Open program points were discussed. All felt we need to wait until next year to start with the open program. This was voted on and passed. We talked about having a report at each adult club meeting; this was also voted on and passed. The next item was the points system. We discussed the options and voted to use the state system. The application to become an official club was handed out so everyone knows what still needs to be done. The community service project was discussed and voted to bring shampoo, soap and other such items to be donated to a homeless shelter. Dana reminded everyone that the youth club meetings do not count towards year-end awards! The meeting was adjourned at 6:26pm.

Reminder to everyone: This months community service is to bring shampoo, soap, toothpaste and other such items to be donated to a Homeless shelter!

Also: Youth Club meetings DO NOT count towards year-end awards. This means you must attend the adult club meetings too!

Also, Please read the By-laws and bring your suggestions on changes to the meeting.

*Please be sure that you sign up as a member of ether APHA or AJPHA. You need to be a member of these in order to be a member of our youth club.

*If you already have your id numbers please bring them to the meeting so we can start filling out the application to be a chartered club.
