The Show of the Year results
Dana Klamecki gave a Rancho Show report. Special thanks to everyone who helped out at the show. Especially Libby who helped with the awards, hotels for judges, air fare, and every thing she did. Steve Guerriro who worked very long hours and always had a smile who helped organize the ring crew. Diane Lang who worked many hours with always a smile doing the gate. Jullian Dent who spent hours putting the money together for the awards and organizing the workers who handed out the awards. The Locarnini family who helped out everywhere were we had holes. The whole family pitched in to help out. Thanks to all the kids who helped running back and fourth to the show office with the judges cards. Sharyn Fincher and Carole Ray and a new member Jennelle who did ring stewarding. The Nigh family did a super job and thank you BEN for all your hard work. The Carraher family, both Jim and Sandy, thanks for all that work. Janice McDonald who helped with the youth team and the warm up trail.

Thanks to every else who helped, we are sure we have left out someone but we wanted to personally thank everyone, with out you,  this couldn't have happened. We had the most help that we have had in the last eight years. This was a awesome show. We got a fax from Brian Elsworth, thanking us for having such a great show and being so nice to work with.

The people in the office were very nice and accommodating. The photographer that we used for the second part of the show was wonderful.

Tina McGurran will send out a thank you letter to all the sponsors, judges, points keeper, Bob Wagg and Janet Radford, SouthGate Farms. Bruce Gross.

A horse show committee meeting will be held to try and come up with improvements for next year's show. Please go home and think about what worked, what didn't and any suggestions you might have for the show management. Dana is going to meet with the other club to go over this as well.

We are thinking of joining CPHA again next year at Rancho. There were suggestions to make it later in April to avoid the rain.

Bob Wagg and Janet Radford helped us make this show a success. We worked very well together and are grateful for their help. They know how to make a show run. Thanks!

Diane Lang wanted to let the club know that her son, Daniel Lang and ,,,,,, are in the journal every month this year.

August 25th show in Gilroy
Seven Counties Paint Horse Club is hosting the August 25th CCC approved, Paint Horse Show in Gilroy will be a one day two judge show. We would like to keep this show simple so we don't get into having too many expenses. We are looking at having cheaper entry fees. Fees would be $6.50 per judge. Nancy Fenn is the show manager. Libby has rounded up two judges. We need airline miles donated for the miles for those tickets. If anyone knows anyone who has connections in a hotel around here, please let Nancy Fenn know. There are issues with these being non local judges. Nancy is taking sign up for jobs and help and starting a horse show committee.

Open Show Program Update:
The open show committee will resume meetings for 2001 starting next month. Anyone who would like to help is invited. The meetings will be held at Mountain Mike's Pizza just before the regular Paint club meeting starting at 6:30pm.

The Open show dates have been confirmed for the following: Woodmyst farms in Gilroy is the location for all three shows.

  2) Sunday June 3rd
  3) Sunday September 9th

Website update
Melissa Berschens gave an update on the club website. She purchased a years worth of hosting through Bizland.com for the club website for $110 dollars for 12 months of hosting. The old hosting agreement for free by Bizland was discontinued. The new paid hosting service will give us guaranteed service, get rid of the pop up ads that appeared and give us more disk space to post content.

The website is still at http://www.7cphc.com and is going strong and getting around 3000 hits per month. The club thanked her for getting this set up and donating her time to maintain and update the site each month. Dana Klamecki mentioned that if people were too shy to bring things up at the meetings, that they can use the club website's discussion boards to post questions to the club officers on line, anonymously. The officers will be checking it often and will reply. This will provide the answers to everyone in the club. This method is preferred over emails. The discussion board is located at http://www.7cphc.com/discussionarea/

Meeting was adjourned at 8:30pm
