POR Report:

The approximate gross from the show was $133,531.00.CPHA advanced our club a check in the amount of $35000.00. A total of $10,300.00 was left in the joint account for next year. There was $14,003.00 in bad checks $15,00.00. In bank charges. All bad checks should be recovered.

I was voted to send Janet a gift basket for all of her hard work. Tina will take care of sending it out. Value $100.00

It was voted to host the show again next year the first weekend in April 2004 5 days Steve to manage with changes that ALL contracts, judges, or anyone to be hired for the show must be presented to the club for approval. August minutes stated that the club voted to hire a trail course designer for $250.00 plus expenses. However we paid $1000.00 for the designer. Having contracts next year should take care of these problems. Contracts should be brought to club prior to show for approval by show manager.

A vote was taken to donate $1000.00 to Calif. youth team for lost trail warm-up money lost by hiring a designer. This amount is comparable to the amount collected last year.

If you have any ideas to share please email Steve, use the clubs web page, call or even send Steve a letter with your ideas.

Old Business:

      Please remember to sign-in.

New Business:

A question was raised at the last meeting regarding work hours due to the cancellation of the Watsonville show.

A motion was made that if you missed the opportunity to work your hours at the April POR any volunteer hours worked at the Zone or our two Open shows THIS YEAR can be carried over to the CCC program. This is only because the Watsonville show was cancelled after the April show was held. This amendment stands only this once. Be sure to check your work hours on the Website if you find an error report it immediately.

Diane Lang nominated Ann Curtis for Horseman of the Year.

Laurie Guerrio is looking into the possibility of the Club having a scholarship program. She will look into it and get back to the club. Melissa Berschens will bring information on the Gold Star Club to the next meeting. It was recommended that if we choose to run for the Gold Star status there should be a committee to run this.

Next Meeting: Tuesday, June 10, 2003; 7:00 PM

Meeting was adjourned at 8:15 PM
