Last open show was smaller than the other, but still medium size attendance.  Two club members won high point awards:
10 & Under: Emily P. with Skippy, won a chap bag
14-17: Stacy Linder, high point
both new members
Our Youth Club ran a food drive at this show and made approx. $200.
This show earned approx. $1200
Next show is Sept. 9th at Woodmyst
Should be mentioned that, per Nancy Fenn, Linda Jacobson has had a great impact, influence on reiners attending this show.  According to Denise, they bring in approx. $500 via there attendance at the show.....very helpful top the open program.

Old Business:

Youth Club: Charlotte Fenn reports the club is off the a very good start.  They had a fund raiser at the open show, food drive making a little over $200.  A donation was made to the youth club of $500,  giving the club a nice start with funds around $700.  The club will have a "Band, Braid and Wrap Session" with the club meeting in July.

Executive Committee Meeting was called to address an issue regarding a question raised by Ann Curtis to exchange her generous donation of frequent flyer tickets for both judges to attend the next paint show for a meeting requirement....Dana reported that this was a very difficult decision made by the executive committee to not allow and exchange due to current club rules mandating meeting attendance.  Much discussion on the topic of needing to address current rules at our October meeting this year in order to implement, if the club so chooses, changes regarding: Meeting attendance, Work hours, etc.

The club wishes to express to Ann Curtis a huge thank you for her donation of frequent flyers as the club would not be able to handle this expense without the donation for the paint show in August.

Diane Lang brought up some information regarding CPHA's rules and Dana requested that all members please send her and bring to the September meeting all information relevant to the issues as this seems to be a reoccurring topic that needs to be addressed.

The other issue of officer's being nominated, etc. in September.....members need to think about the positions.........Dana will not be able to run as president again due to scheduling conflicts, so we need to begin thinking about new officers for the new club year.  Our current V.P., Jeannie Locarnini will not be able to take over the president role either, due to conflicts.

Nancy Fenn reported on the upcoming August 25th show:

A sign up sheet for working hours was passed around for volunteers.  Clarification needs to be made, per Nancy Fenn, that this is NOT a Poor Boy show, classes are $8.00/class, not $6.50.  A premium will be posted on our website in early July, with actual mailings late July.  The show starts at 7:30am......show class schedule was passed around for club input by Nancy Fenn .  Don and Gladys Gilbertson have graciously donated there services for running our show.......a HUGE THANK YOU for this service.  Nancy Fenn thought the club should send them a gift for this donation.

Tina McGurran motioned that we send them a gift basket asap of approx. $50...Mary Baughman seconded, club voted and passed this motion.  Tina will get the gift out to them right away.  Other sponsorships and donations are coming in such as Karen Stepp.

Judges will fly in via United Airlines.......Ann Curtis and Libby Flores will handle this area.  Mary Baughman will handle the trail course (thank you!) and can also assist with portable stalls.  Please contact her at 779.9445 if you need assistance with this along with Nancy Fenn.

We need help with the following areas with pairs of helpers:

Ring Crew........Dana K. and Steve G. will handle
Gate Crew.......in and out gate (need pair)
Ring Stewards.......for each judge(need a pair)
Parking.........Don will handle signs, need assistance in this are too.

This is your last chance to get hours in if you need them for this show.  Nancy Fenn had the sign up sheet.

Christy Abrams brought up the issue of how to handle fees for Breeding Stock classes.  She motioned that the classes be free of cost, Mary seconded, club voted and passed that there will be no fees for Breeding Stock classes at this show.

The judges are: Carol Brock & Robert Meneely

Name for the show:  Per Nancy Fenn, an executive decision had to be made that the show be called: 7CPHC Summer Fun Show...........the "another stinkin paint show in gilroy" would not be accepted well by the APHA....much agreement on this topic.

At the next show, final details for the August show will be discussed and handled.

New Business:

Diane Lang announced that the Youth Team is selling T-Shirts for a fund raiser....$12.00 a shirt, orders being taken now......the shirts are White with black lettering, CA in red and the paint horse in brown.......shirts will be done by Tuesday and can be delivered or picked up at the world show.

Meeting was adjourned at 8pm.
