Congratulations to 7CPHC Youth Club for winning the From the Heart Award from the APHA for their participation in volunteering at the Horse Discovery Center a Therapeutic riding center in Gilroy, CA. They documented their experience by each writing an essay and building a scrapbook to remember the events. This was submitted to the APHA along with other clubs in the nation.

Ashley Guerriero was proud to report the Youth club won first place in the The scrap book will be on showcase at the World show and the youth team will be receiving a Presidential award on Wednesday June 26th after reining after 6pm at the World Show. The club would like to personally congratulate the efforts of the Youth Club. The contributions to the community from these kids is amazing and makes us all very proud to be a part of such a great group of individuals. It was suggested by the club to have an article put in the local news papers and submit to the APHA for the Journal. Silver Buckle Services volunteered to write an article about this in the next month once the kids get back from the world show and have a full report on the awards presentation. Ashley Guerriero volunteered to get the details to Melissa Berschens for the article.

The APHA leadership conference is in Omaha Nebraska this October, the youth team has requested the adult club to sponsor some funds towards their trips. The club has sponsored this activity in the past. A motion was made to pay for the airfare of the youth team member who will represent our club at the conference. This motion was approved.

for this colt.
Please sell as many tickets as possible to help our open show program. Checks should be made out to 7CPHC. Flyers have gone out to over 150 people by mail with the July show premium, a copy went in the July issue of the Horseman's news and is in all the local tack stores and barns. In effort to promote the raffle, Melissa Berschens asked the club if it was ok to run the ad and story written by Silver Buckle Services for the raffle in the Morgan Hill times, the club loved this idea and it will go in the Morgan Hill times on the Tuesday July 2nd issue. Tickets were also given to CSHA to pass out at their regional shows.

All proceeds will be donated to the 7CPHC open program by Kasha Ford/Silver Buckle Services. Kasha Ford will have the colt on hand to show him off at the July 21 Open show at Woodmyst Farms in Gilroy.
