7CPHC July, 2003 Minutes

Meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM by club president Steve Guerriero.

No new members or guests.

Minutes from June 2003 meeting were approved as emailed.

Treasurers Report:

Bills:

            No new bills submitted

Secretaries Report:

            APHA had changes to our Bi-laws. Changes were to our clubs election rules. The forms were signed by Officers and to be returned to APHA.

CSHA- Region 6:

Jim Carraher reported they held there first show at Taylor Made Farms and it was successful. There were 80 entries. Next show to be held in August.

Open Show Report:

The second show of the two show series is to be held at Woodmyst July 20^th. It will be run in the same fashion as the last one (in two arenas running at the same time).

Youth Report:

No Youth meeting was held .

New Business:

 APHA held a workshop on the subject of age split classes. This pertains to the three pattern classes. The amateur committee agreed that the age split would be a good idea. At the National Convention the board will have three choices regarding the age split:

1.       Split all classes age 19-44 & 45 and over.

2.       Split all classes age 19-39 and 40 and over.

3.       Defeat both and leave the rule as it stands.

 If anyone has comments or suggestions for next years Zone show (e.g. Dates or classes) please draft a letter and get it to Diane or Libby and they will present it at the next CCC meeting August 26^th. They are unable to present your ideas unless they have some sort of documentation . So, advise them of your ideas or concerns so this can be addressed.
