7CPHC September 2005 Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order by Ed Flores @ 1910 hrs.

No new members or guests.

August Meeting Minutes:

We did not have a current copy of the August Meeting Minutes to approve. August Minutes will need to be approved in October.

Treasures Report given by Denise Escover:

State Paint Program: Checking $5,621.39, Savings $35,508.98
            Open Program: Checking $3,129.61, Savings $5,935.57

Bills submitted:

            Nancy Fenn – $71.24   Fuel & Parking for CCC meetings

            Diane Lang - $232.40  Airline ticket & fuel for CCC meetings

            Motion to approve bills as submitted by Libby Flores, 2^nd by Kristi Abrams –

            Motion approved.

Correspondence:

1)  CSHA Region 10 has invited 7CPHC members to their awards banquet on Nov. 5, 2005 @ 7pm in Aptos Ca. Please contact Denise Escover for more information.

2)  CSHA has invited our club President to their convention on Nov. 9-13, 2005.

Old Business:

Linda Tacklind, Debi Kent and Libby Flores will review and revise Awards Programs and provide copies for approval by the November Meeting.

Second Show Date: Motion to secure a second show date July 28, 29, 30, 2005 or another date if that one is not available for a 2J/ 3J Youth Am at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds in King City.

            Fairgrounds charges $600. per day, plus $50. per stall

Youth Club Attendance Sheets can be placed on-line also. Denise Escover will send them to Melissa to post on the website.

If anyone is interested in becoming a Club Officer nominations can be made before the October meeting. The club will vote at the October meeting.

Christmas Party

Discussion to hold a Christmas Party or Christmas Party/Awards Banquet combo.

Keala Stibburd offered her services as caterer if we had a location to hold a Christmas party and/or  Christmas Party/Awards Banquet. What a generous offer!! The cost of food & drinks will be the only expense to the club.

Libby Flores offered her home to hold the Christmas Party or Christmas Party/Awards Banquet, possible date Dec. 3^rd, 2005.

Membership Forms

Denise Escover made a motion, everyone  participating in an awards program can please turn in the Membership Forms, Sponsorship Forms and Letter of Intent Form together as a packet for 2006. This would be done to help keep it organized.

Note: Each Awards Program would need to have a separate check for the sponsorship however you would still need to turn it in together as a packet.

Youth Club Report:

Youth Club Nominations have been made. If anyone is interested in a position you can nominate yourself and the Youth Club will vote at the October meeting.

Looking for a Guest Speaker i.e. fairer or Vet,  Any ideas?

New youth members are always welcome and you don’t need to own a horse, just be a horse lover!
