Youth Club Report: Ashley
Guerriero, Christina McGurran & Hanna Fenn gave a report on the
Leadership Conference they attended along with Kendall Carraher in
Nebraska. They presented the club a Thank You note expressing their
gratitude in the ability to attend the conference and for the clubs
sponsorship. The youth club spent some of their winning from the “From
the Heart” award on a day at Great America. Unfortunately only three
girls were able to attend. They discussed during their meeting what
they’d like to accomplish next year:
Earn $10,000.00
- Donate $100.00 to APHA for next year’s
recipients of the “From the Heart” award.
- Donate $100.00 to Sharon Curtis
- Try to win the “From the Heart”
award again.
The girls gave a great report they
obviously picked up a lot at the conference.
Year End Awards Banquet: (Change)
Sharyn Fincher is coordinating it again
this year. She could not be present however; it was reported that she went
to Maurizio’s to look at the supposed changes in the banquet room. As of
January 1st they can only accommodate 60 persons. So the
location of the event has been changed to Tasso’s Old House Restaurant
in Gilroy on January 11, 2002. More information to fallow at next meeting.
Christmas Party:
It is still scheduled to be held at the Fincher home Saturday December
07,2002.as planned.
New Business:
Region 6 asked that 7CPHC provide a representative from our club to
attend their meetings. Jim Carraher volunteered. This was voted on and
approved.
Old Business:
April 2003 POR
Meeting to be held Thursday October 10 at
the Marie Callender’s in Stockton.
Anyone interested in attending was asked to
see Steve Guerriero for more information.
Judge Procurement Committee Report:
Nancy Fenn reported that the committee has
a list of tentative judges; however, the dates for our show need to be
decided before they can lock in the judges. They are trying to switch
dated with the other club so our show will be on the weekend. Once the
dates are decided the list can be finalized. Tentative Judges:
Ball, Margo Lea; Colorado
Cole, Charlie; Texas
Ellsworth, Brian; Iowa
still open
Futurities Committee Report:
Committee headperson was not present;
However, Ann Curtis reported that they have started a list of tentative
futurity classes they are working to put together a few are:
Non-pro longe line, Open longe line,
Non-pro hunt seat equitation and Open hunt seat Equitation. There are
several more. Will have more information at the next meeting.
Debbie Kent will be on-site at the show for
awards. It was recommended that the premium contain explicit rules
for the futurities to save some of this year’s confusion. Steve would
like to get a jump on sponsorships for the show. He asked that we have
some sponsorships ready at the next meeting. Sponsorship forms can be
found on our web site.

CCC & Open Show Rules for 2003:
CCC Rule Changes for 2003:
The rules were passed as submitted, with
the exception that 11 & under walk trot be specified as a one
–horse, one-rider division. Points to be tabulated as a one horse one
rider basis.
Open Rule Changes for 2003:
The rules were passed as submitted, with
the same clarification of the 11 & under walk trot division being a
one-horse one-rider event. The participant may exhibit more than one
horse; except the points earned will be tabulated separately.
There was a brief discussion about our
one-day show next year. It was asked by Kristi Abrams, rather than have
just a one-day show is it possible to do a two-day show with another club?
We have our show say on a Saturday and they have their show on a Sunday?
That way we may get a better turn out. Diane Lang will look into the CCC
ruling and the minimum number of classes to be held at each day's show and
report back to the club.
