7CPHC November 09, 2004 Meeting Minutes

 

New Members: None

 

Approval of October Minutes: Kristy Abrams asked that there be an amendment to the minutes. At the October meeting she made a motion that the Club adds an additional category to the awards program: Participation award for those whom meet the requirements for sponsorship and meeting attendance but are not showing a horse during that year. The club approved the motion at the October meeting.

Nancy Fenn motioned to approve Kristy Abrams seconded motion carried.

 

Ed Flores took a moment to thank Mark Bell and Tina McGurran for their hour and hard work they put in over the last year. Their efforts were greatly appreciated.

 

Bills: Nancy Fenn submitted a bill for her flight fee to the Las Vegas CCC Meeting. $176.70

It was approved to pay the bill as submitted as there was a prior allotment of up to $350.00 made from a prior meeting.

 

Old Business: None

 

New Business: The October show made a profit of $4,510.82.

A big Thank You To Janice McDonald and Nancy Fenn for all of their hard work.

CPHA has decided they will NOT be hosting a Youth Am with us next year.

 

There have been 2 judges hired for next years April show Mike Sheppardan Robert McNeeley. CPHA will not be having futurities. Kristy Abrams suggested that the show committee explore the possibility of having Jackpot classes. Exciting show committee Steve Guerriero, Diane Lang and Linda Tackland.

Sponsorship forms for April show need to be submitted prior to January 01, 2005.

It has been brought to our attention by our insurance that the club may no longer purchase alcohol at the meeting. You are welcome to do so however on your own. The Club will only cover the expresses of Pizza and soft drinks.  

 

 Membership forms need to be submitted ASAP.

 

There will not be a club Christmas party this year. Linda Jacobsen was given authorization to represent our club at the CSHA meeting and vote on behalf of the club.

 

 

 

Youth Report: Given by Danielle Carvalho

They will be competing for the “From the Heart Award” again this year.

Some of the ideas they are planning are donation of pet care products to local animal shelters and donation of hours to charity.

AjPHA will be implementing a service project point system.

Christmas Party will be at Mandy Jacobsen’s on December 11, 2004. Mandy will send invitations.  Ashley will be creating a way of keeping better track of meeting attendance, dues and work hours.
