CCC needs more sponsorship for year-end awards.  There is a threat that that saddles may no longer be awarded for Champion. A suggestion was made to award pastel portraits instead of saddles. Reps were asked to get their clubs input. A motion was made to do away with 5th & 6th awards to cut costs. Reps were asked to get their clubs input on these two matters. There is a budget of $1,100 per saddle and this is not being covered by sponsorship. The 2004 awards banquet has three tentative bids: Harris Ranch Coalinga, Holiday Inn Fresno and Embassy Suites, San Luis Obispo . The more popular location seemed to be Embassy Suites San Luis Obispo. Tentative date being January 22, 2005 .  Mark Bell addressed Libby Flores’s interest in nomination for 2005 CCC Director Elections.
