Mark Bell called meeting to order at 7:14pm

8 Oaks Show Service was the only bidder for State points keeper.
This will be for a 3-year term. Nominee for Horseman of the Year was Bob
Wagg. State Year-end Awards Banquet will be at the Embassy Suites in San
Luis Obispo January 22, 2004.
Looking
for individual Club Donations for table decorations. Sergeants Saddles and
Portraits will be the awards for Champion and Reserve overall. Buckles for
Champion and Reserve the same awards as last year for 3rd
through 6th.
Zone
Show will be held in Utah the next three years. A vote was taken whether
7CPHC approved split of Amateur Halter Classes in all age groups for
Junior and Senior classes. The vote was that the club apposed the split.
It
was voted to keep the 11 & under split.
There
will be a slide show (power point) at the awards banquet again. Send
pictures to Kelly Wall of Sierra.
A
request was made that reps suggest 11 & under be able the show either
regular or breeding stock in their classes.
Open
Show:
The
last show was held Labor Day weekend. Entry numbers were down 69 horses.
Open committee planning on meeting earlier this year. If you are
interested in being part contact Debi Kent.
Region
10 Next show being held the Friday of the Santa Cruz Fair. In the big
Arena.
Region
6 finished the series with 104 entries at last show.
Banquet
to be held in October. State National Convention in Redding November.
Youth
Report
Ashley,
Hanna and Christina will be attending the AjPHA Youth Leadership
Conference October 1st & 2nd a motion was made
to include Tina McGurrans expresses for airfare as chaperone.

It
was voted that since Libby Flores was unable to attend the APHA workshop
in June that the $500 be carried over to the expresses for the September
Convention in September 30th Oct 1st. approved
A
$100.00 donation was given to Ride and Shine to sponsor Melissa Burchens
and Smokey in a fundraiser Ride a Thon.
Ed
Florse addressed the fact that Libby is an Armature Committee
Representative: if you have any concerns feel free to contact Libby and
she will be sure your concerns are heard.
There
was a lengthy discussion on various aspects of meeting attendance
requirements for next year.
1.
Members donate meeting attendance for another member.
2.
Pay fees for Meeting attendance.
3.
One member can attend for another.
Jan
Larsen will put together a few possible options for meeting attendance
requirements and report back to the club for a vote at the next meeting.
It
was voted that Diane Lang would serve another term as CCC Representative
Nancy Fenn still has one more year.
