Dana Klamecki has a bill for $7.78 for copies and Melissa Berschens has a bill for $21.15 for stamps. All bills were approved as submitted.

World Show Youth Team Support:
A motion was made to contribute $150 for each 7CPHC youth team member who is going to the world. The motion was voted on and approved unanimously. The money will go towards the kid's stall fees.

POR Update:
Dana Klamecki went over the preliminary financial report for the April paint show. The results are not official yet but the projected results of net profit are around $13 thousand dollars! This show was a great success. It was suggested by Dana that we set up a fund in our joint bank account with CPHA to leave in at least $2500 for next year's show. This will cover various miscellaneous costs that are necessary before the show starts. This was voted on and approved unanimously.

New Club Discussion Area: A member posted a comment on the club website discussion area: Words from the President in response will be posted in reply to this. This was brought up at the meeting and discussed.
"Point well taken, we do need to strive towards that. Everyone is welcome to participate, we welcome your help. We urge you to be as involved as you can and keep pushing towards making the club more effective at our shows. Now that we have done this show once with CPHA, the next year will be better and we will know more of what to expect. It was hard to delegate what was coming for work for this show since it was a new show with a new club at a new location. Next year it should be better, we will be working with the CPHA starting in November to put horse show committee together early on and involve more 7cphc and CPHA club members. Thank you for your patience in our learning to do a new show."

August 25th show in Gilroy
Nancy Fenn gave a report about the August 25th show. Seven Counties Paint Horse Club is hosting the August 25th CCC approved, Paint Horse Show in Gilroy will be a one day two judge show. We would like to keep this show simple so we don't get into having too many expenses. We are looking at having cheaper entry fees. Fees would be $6.50 per judge. Nancy Fenn is the show manager. Libby has rounded up two judges. We need airline miles donated for the miles for those tickets. If anyone knows anyone who has connections in a hotel around here, please let Nancy Fenn know. Nancy is taking sign up for jobs and help and starting a horse show committee.

Judge Fees:
There are issues with these being non local judges considering, the judges fees will run around $2500 a piece. If we can get volunteers to donate mileage. If we have judges from California, it will be much cheaper for us to run the show.

Meetings and Hours:
In dealing with CPHA, we learned that their club has the option to pay for someone else to work their hours, pay extra to make up for not coming to meetings or bring extra sponsorships to make up for attendance.
The 2001 rules do not currently allow this. We need to discuss this.
It was suggested to bring this up as an agenda item for the next meeting so the club membership would know that this is an issue our membership is interested in and we will be tabling this until the next meeting where we can discuss it in detail.

The facility is $300 per day.

There is possibility for 10 stalls to be available for overnight stalls. The advertisement will say, limited stalls available and a date will be listed for the exhibitors to call by to reserve stalls. We are working on finding extra stalls in surrounding facilities. We are not going to order portable stalls unless there is a need. The application for the show is due May 25th. We need to have all the issues worked out by then. We need to decide

The motion is that we approve the POOR BOY show and proceed with the show and work out the details in the coming months. Nancy needs to submit the application for the show by the end of this month so we have to act quickly. The motion was voted and approved.

We need a name for the show. Suggestions were the Other show of the year...Another "Stinkin" Paint Show in Gilroy. A motion was made to name the show Another "Stinkin" Paint Show in Gilroy. The motion was approved, that will be the name of the show.

Youth Club Update: Charlotte Fenn gave a report about the youth club. The club is now sanctioned. Congratulations to the new club! They will be at the open show on June 3rd doing a fund raiser selling snacks. So come hungry.
